Glenn Hanson

Glenn Hanson is the Chairman of Pet Angel World Services® and has more than 30 years of experience in leading successful companies. Mr. Hanson, a private investor and entrepreneur, recognized that the pet cremation industry was not keeping pace with the changing trends in pet care. More and more consumers treat their pet as a member of the family, and with this evolution comes a greater need for more compassionate pet after-care options while meeting the needs of veterinarians. Mr. Hanson founded Pet Angel World Services®, a company that provides the highest standard of care to grieving pet families with compassionate, dignified, respectful after-care services. In addition to attending to the needs of families, Pet Angel World Services® brings additional value to veterinary practices, by giving them a professional, transparent partner that provides all of the necessary resources, materials, and services to help strengthen pet families' feelings of loyalty.

Prior to his career as a venture capitalist and the creation of Pet Angel World Services®, Mr. Hanson owned, operated, and sold a national die-making and plastic-injection-molding company, after successfully acquiring four of the company's competitors. From 1988 to 1999, he served as Chairman, CEO, and President of The Hanson Group, Ltd. Here he executed a growth strategy and positioned the company as one of the leaders in the U.S. plastics industry before divesting the company. As part of the successful growth strategy, Mr. Hanson led a total of seven acquisitions and expanded the company from a single enterprise to a company with several divisions, in multiple locations, with 400 employees. He developed a sales-driven organization that serviced major Fortune 500 companies, allowing for remarkably consistent sales at premium pricing. The Hanson Group, Ltd., was sold to Aurora Capital in 1999.

Additionally, Mr. Hanson has been involved with numerous startup companies; among them is River Valley Investors, a Western Massachusetts angel-investing group that he co-founded. "I think business is the greatest game there is; we are allowed to express our individuality, build a strong bond with other team members, and do good for the world. I believe work should be an extraordinary life experience and that we are here to serve our customer and share our success."

Aside from his business ventures, Mr. Hanson co-founded the Hanson Initiative for Language and Literacy (HILL) to address the literacy crisis in America. He was an evening student at Western New England College and is an instrument-rated fixed-wing and helicopter pilot. A former Trustee of Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH, Mr. Hanson supports several philanthropic efforts, such as Friends of Flying Santa, Angel Flight Northeast, the YMCA, and many local charities. Additionally, Mr. Hanson is a volunteer first-response pilot for homeland security disaster relief.
